There are rules that we as humans agree to live by because we accept that we live in a civilised society, and it is these rules that separate us from the animals. We have the advantage (or disadvantage depending on your perspective) of being sentient and therefore have feelings, exhibit emotions and we also know that at some point in the future we will die. We are the most superior animal that occupies this planet and yet there are those who believe that these rules should not apply to them. Does that mean they are inhuman and should therefore be regarded as less than an animal? An animal at least has the good grace to know its place.

Since the beginning of time women have been treated as property and although we achieved the vote in 1918 in the UK we had to be 30 years of age before we were allowed to use it. We held our own jobs after the war crippled our male population when the age conveniently came down again. The sixties revolution garnered even more independence for us, and we have continued to prove time and again that we are indeed worthy as equals.

Unfortunately, not all men have embraced these vicissitudes, in fact even now, some men still resent these changes and those attitudes that thwart progress have travelled from father to son. Sometimes they proffer barely a cursory grunt of acceptance but these platitudes are mere gestures of approval that appear only superficially on the surface. For the most part the glass ceiling is being eroded, but there are some men that are not convinced this should be the case. It is this insecurity that leads some to make bad choices in the way they accommodate this flaw in their cognisance not to mention their attitude toward the female of the species has numerous holes.

Such a man attacked me, and it is this topic that I will address within these pages as I compare and contrast the attack against myself with the story of the book that I wrote in response and how I chose to redress the balance in my own inimitable style. Coming back from this trauma may well have been easy for some but I was too outraged and damaged just to dismiss this behaviour or allow it to go unchallenged in light of the continuing medical issues caused as a direct result of the assault, and the effect it has had on me personally. Destruction of a Nobody is the book I wrote for myself. It was the best therapy money couldn’t buy and it transported me back to sanity from the depths of a very deep despair. When a man goes rogue you take him on with your mind because your emotions just get in the way of a darn good revenge. This type of man has never been able to understand women anyway, so confusion over that physical nonsense is key, just make sure you leave you some distance.

From wrath to redemption and conflict to resolution of the story about a man who was never worthy of you in the first place. Through the pages of a book that you have penned to heal yourself. Tell the truth, make it up, it won’t matter, you are the author, and you can’t be arrested for being creative. Free your mind, free your spirit and feed your passions because it doesn’t get any better than this.
